My car tabs are 22 months overdue — join me in refusing to renew until they respect our vote. Pulled over twice — warning both times — here’s how.

Mon, Aug 23, 2021

We’ve had 3 statewide votes for $30 Tabs.

And there’s been overwhelming voter approval every time.

After opponents spent $5 million bashing the last one, voters knew what they were voting for (and who was sponsoring it).

And it passed by a huge margin (big enough they couldn’t steal the vote from us).

Then Seattle sued the voters.

And then the AG did everything he could to sabotage it in court:

Despite that, we convinced a Jay Inslee appointed judge to side with us.

He ruled that all the policies in I-976 were single subject and the description was fine.

WE WON!

But then the 9 injustices on the supreme court ignored their oath of office and ruled the AG’s ballot title was “deceptive and misleading.”

Then Ferguson showed his true colors:

Then, when Inslee refused to implement our $30 tabs, saying voters were confused, I got in his face:

I refuse to renew until they respect our vote.

They are the lawbreakers, I’m not.

I’m willing to pay $30 for my car tabs but not a penny more.

I’ve been driving all across the state for 22 months with tabs that were last renewed October 2019.

During all that time, I’ve been pulled over twice.

Both times, I said, “I didn’t forget. I’m willing to pay $30 but I will not pay taxes and fees the voters specifically repealed. This is a peaceful political protest, officer. I ask you to please use your discretion and give me a warning, not a ticket.”

Both times, the officer did just that.

Civil disobedience is something I can do and something you can do.

I invite you to join me in this.

Chances of getting pulled over? Low (there are millions of vehicles on the roads).

If pulled over, tell the officer the same thing I said (chances are excellent you’ll get warning).

If you do get a ticket, don’t pay it, contest it. When notified of court date, send a written appeal letter that says same thing (peaceful protest, etc). I’ve heard from others who’ve done this, and the judges only imposed $25-$75 court costs — cheaper than the tab renewal. And none of this affects your insurance (it’s a non-moving issue).

Civil disobedience is our only option — join me.

Bob Ferguson spent more going after me than all other cases over the past 8 years COMBINED!

And the only reason I’m still here and I’m still fighting is because of the prayers and support of thousands of wonderful people who were willing to help me and my family survive this blatant abuse of power by the AG.

I’m very grateful to all of you for that.

Only with your continued help can we reverse this gross injustice.

Please donate TODAY so I can pay for Richard Sanders’ filing of the Stay Pending Appeal (without it, I’ll have to live under these oppressive restrictions for years while this case is on appeal):

Don’t let the guy who’ve profited more from politics than anyone get away with this:

As you know, we worked really hard on Initiative 976 — here’s election night:

Karen and I sacrificed a lot — we sold off our retirement fund to kick-start its signature drive:

And now, a message from Sid Maietto and Larry Jensen:

We’re asking folks to donate to our PAC so Tim can get paid back (and live and survive) and to help stop Inslee’s Income Tax and Carbon Tax Schemes with the initiatives we’re co-sponsoring with Tim.

The taxpayers of Washington need our help now more than ever. Donate to our political committee so we can keep fighting for you:
