2 Huge Things Happened On Friday — I Beat The AG In Court And Launched Give Them Nothing Referendum

I am without legal counsel. I’m on my own.

So you can imagine how great it feels for a novice like me to beat the AG in court:

I’ll write about this more on Monday, but let me tell you, the AG’s team of lawyers went hysterical afterwards. Major hissy fit in public. They are simply humiliated that the judge sided with me.

Right after the hearing, I launched the signature drive for the Give Them Nothing referendum:

The first signer? Kevin O’Sullivan from Olympia (you may not be able to tell, but I was pretty excited about winning in court and getting my first signature for Referendum 80)

We gotta get 160,000 signatures to qualify it for a public vote (129,811 valid signatures). Yesterday (Feb 22) was first possible day we had to start collecting signatures. The last day to turn in petitions/signatures to the Secretary of State is May 7. So we have 75 days to get 160K signatures. I’ll do my part as I always do (http://tinyurl.com/IWillHelpButRestUpToYou) but the rest is up to you. I know we can do it. Does Inslee deserve a massive salary bonus? Does Ferguson? How ‘bout the Seattle Supreme Court? I think voters are chompin’ at the bit to veto politicians’ massive salary bonuses. Imagine how great it’ll feel for our Give Them Nothing referendum to appear alongside our $30 Tabs Initiative on the November 5 ballot.
