Biggest donation in state history goes to our $30 Tabs Initiative (who did it?)

Sound Transit’s $500 million cost overrun (http://tinyurl.com/y7o8h76a) has been like a big booster rocket to the statewide signature drive for our $30 Tabs Initiative. Vehicle owners across the state were already furious about their skyrocketing car tab taxes. And so Sound Transit’s massive, irresponsible $500 million cost overrun threw a big bucket of gasoline on that roaring fire. That is a HALF A BILLION DOLLAR donation to our statewide $30 Tabs Initiative, the largest ever provided to an initiative campaign in state history.
We were surprised that $500,000,000 actually fit on our campaign reports:

Their fiscal irresponsibility is infuriating.
But what’s even more maddening is that Sound Transit lied — actually, they lied twice.
First, they lied to the Legislature, doing a $15-billion-to-$54 billion bait-and-switch (NEWS TRIBUNE, 4/15/17: “Judy Clibborn, the House Transportation Committee Chairwoman, said she’s not sure lawmakers would have signed off on Sound Transit 3 if they had known how big the tax proposal would become. ‘I think if you had said, ‘We’re going to bond this and we’re going to ask for $54 billion,’ it would not have gone anywhere,’ Clibborn said. Nobody was going to do that. … Everybody was having this $15 billion in front of them.” — http://tinyurl.com/k9csszs)
Second, they lied to the voters about the costs and the calculations for car tabs taxes. “Just $80” is what voters were told over and over again. But taxpayers are getting bills that are radically higher than that because Sound Transit is artificially and dishonestly inflating vehicle values. It’s got taxpayers spittin’ mad.
The Legislature was lied to. Voters were lied to.
We ask voters from across the state to send an email to Sound Transit’s Board and let them know what you think about their $500 million donation to our statewide $30 Tabs Initiative.

Third and last, for the body of the email, cut and paste this or send something like this (use your own words, tell ’em how you feel):
Sound Transit Board members:
You infuriate me. You are knowingly and dishonestly calculating vehicle taxes by using a valuation schedule that artificially inflates my vehicles’ value. Car tab taxes are skyrocketing for folks across the state, yet you opposed every bill this legislative session that would’ve made a real difference. If you had been less greedy and more honest, you wouldn’t be facing such a furious public backlash. Your $500 million cost overrun is a $500 million donation to our $30 Tabs Initiative. Your arrogance, greed, and incompetence is supercharging our statewide signature drive. I’m supporting the $30 Tabs Initiative because it treats everyone fairly and honestly, something Sound Transit has never done.
Please send them your email — they need to hear from you.
AND DO WHAT THESE SUPPORTERS HAVE DONE: Get a bunch of petitions. Just hit “reply” to this email and let me know how many petitions you want, your address, and your phone number. I will find an Office Depot, Staples, Minuteman Press, or Kinko’s near you, order the petitions for you, and all you need to do is pick them up. You can get 3 petitions for less than a $1. You can get 10 petitions for less than $3. You can get 100 petitions for $30. They’re dirt cheap with super fast turnaround. You can pick up your petitions in an hour. It is a petition distribution revolution that more and more supporters across the state are taking advantage of.
