Come to Bellevue on Friday. Sign these petitions. Eyman says “The 1st Amendment is essential.”

As former supreme court justice Richard Sanders recently said:

“Our constitutional rights are most necessary in times of crises, not tranquility.”

He’s exactly right.

The 1st Amendment is essential.

And so is the 2nd Amendment.

So:

This Friday, April 3, from 11am-1pm, I’ll be in front of Bellevue’s Wal-Mart (12620 SE 41st St).

I’ll be there with petitions for the Protect Our Kids’ Innocence Initiative which allows the voters to stop Jay Inslee’s horrible Comprehensive Sex Ed for Kids Law. Come by and sign the petition and take one home.

And I’ll also have petitions for our TELL JAY INSLEE THAT GUN STORES ARE ESSENTIAL. Come by and defend the 2nd Amendment with me.

We all mourn the loss of life occurring all across our globe from coronavirus. And we are just as despondent over the deaths of people caused by the flu, domestic violence, cancer, car accidents, suicide, and starvation. Every life — born and unborn — is precious and I ask you to join me in prayer for the families and friends who have lost loved ones past, present, and future.

And during this time of fear and uncertainty and disruption caused by the coronavirus, the governments’ response to it, and the media’s hyper-obsession with it, we must — absolutely must — guard against the encroachment and outright obliteration of the Bill of Rights.

So this Friday, I am standing up for the 1st Amendment by speaking out and petitioning for two critically important issues that I care about and many voters care about.

1) I am adamantly opposed to Jay Inslee’s horrible Comprehensive Sex Ed for Kids Law. It goes way, way too far. For such a sensitive subject, parents and teachers must have a greater voice and more choice. The 9 month signature drive for this initiative will allow voters to learn that allowing parents to opt-in and teachers to opt out is the better than Jay Inslee’s top-down dictatorial approach.

2) While I believe all businesses are essential, gun stores are truly vital. They’re vital for the safety of our communities and for the support of law enforcement. The 2nd Amendment acknowledges something all law-abiding citizens already have: the right to personally protect ourselves, our families, our communities, and our state. I want Jay Inslee to do exactly what California Governor Gavin Newsom has done and reverse himself and allow gun stores to stay open. But he’s not going to listen to me. But he may listen to us … if there’s enough of us willing to sign petitions telling him to.

But people don’t sign petitions unless there’s someone there to ask them to.

As the US Supreme Court has said, the First Amendment “is at its zenith” when a person asks another person to sign a petition.

We all have that guaranteed right.

And to illustrate that, I’m going to ask regular citizens as they walk into Bellevue’s Wal-Mart on Friday to protect our children’s innocence and uphold the 2nd Amendment by signing these petitions. I hope you’ll come by.

Growing up, I was always told this is a free country.

Join me this Friday and let’s find out if it still is.

I ask you to do 2 things:

1) If you support my efforts to fight for voters, please donate $30 (or hopefully more) to my campaign. I need your help to save Washington from 4 more years of Jay Inslee.

2) Forward/share today’s update with friends, family, and co-workers. Help us get the word out. Make sure to send them this “one page” about my race for Governor. Invite them to join our team.

I make you this promise: support me in this effort and I’ll give you a race for Governor like you’ve never seen before.

I love you all.
