Did Tim Eyman steal a chair?

Short Answer

No, Tim didn’t steal a $70 chair. The media blasted out the video of Tim rolling the chair to his car, but they didn’t show the video of him walking back into the store one minute later to pay for it. The payment for the chair got skipped over when he was paying for other items. He thought he paid for it. The media wants you to believe Tim spent $300 for printers & copies, but not $70 for a chair. It’s silly.

Ask yourself this important question: If Tim hadn’t won 11 (eleven) statewide initiatives campaigns that saved taxpayers $43 Billion and instead raised taxes by $43 Billion, do you think the media would have cut & spliced the story this way?
Or do you think it would’ve never made the light of day?

To ask the question is to answer it. This is purely about politics, folks, and the Left will do or say anything to try and destroy conservatives who can effectively fight back against them and win.

Moral of the story, kids, double-check your receipt before leaving the store!

Long Answer

Wearing a bright red “Let the Voters Decide” t-shirt, Tim was in Olympia on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. In the morning, he provided legislative testimony against a bad bill. After that, he drove to Office Depot in Lacey to make some copies and buy some printers. While waiting for the employee to get the printers from the back, Tim saw the office chair in the foyer, tested it out, liked it, and rolled it out to his car. He then walked back into the store to pay for it and the printers & copies. While waiting in line to pay, he got an important phone call. Tim told the employee that he also was getting the chair. Tim continued to talk on the phone while they took over 5 minutes to complete the check-out. Tim left the store with the printers & copies (wheeled out by an Office Depot employee) and thought he had paid for everything

Tim was wearing a bright red t-shirt, not hiding under a hoodie and sunglasses. He didn’t drive away with the chair, he went back into the store. He paid $300 for printers & copies, but not a $70 chair? Tim was a preferred customer of Office Depot but instead of calling Tim to clear up the misunderstanding, they called law enforcement. Once Tim learned about the misunderstanding, he went back to the store to pay for it or return it. They said to take it to the Lacey Police Department. The case was quickly resolved: as long as Tim was crime free for 9 months, then the whole thing would be dismissed. Since Tim had been crime-free for 53 years, the extra 9 months was easy.
