Here’s Why I Love Initiatives And Why I Love The Term Limits On Taxes Init (Join FB Group: #Round2)

by | Jul 18, 2019

Olympia really screwed us this year.

11 new taxes.

$27 billion.

$4000 for every man, woman, and child.

Title-only bills, public hearings w/ chained doors, legislators voting on bills they hadn’t read while passing them in the dead of night on the final weekend.

It was obscene. It was corruption. It’s completely unacceptable.

What’s the most effective way to fight back?

With the initiative process.

I love initiatives because they empower the people. And our initiatives play a particularly important role because we focus our efforts on limiting governments’ taxing power. It’s why your vehicle tabs are lower, your property taxes are capped, governments get performance audited, tax hikes were required to get 2/3 legislative approval, legislature-passed tax increases are subject to tax advisory votes, and the Legislature has a tougher time raising taxes.

It’s why taxpayers have saved $43 billion directly and billions more indirectly (https://permanentoffense.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/20-years-of-tax-savings-1.pdf).

I AM COMMITTED (OR MAYBE MORE ACCURATELY: I SHOULD BE COMMITTED)
