As reported last week, here’s what Democrat AG Bob Ferguson claims is the cost to taxpayers so far for the persecution of me and my family so far: $1,577,479.73

OVER $1.5 MILLION

Again, that’s more than all other reporting cases in the past 7 years combined!

His lawsuit is brought under one statute: RCW 42.17A which solely concerns campaign reports. That law specifically makes it the sole legal responsibility of the political committee’s treasurer to do the reports. And since I was never the treasurer for any of the committees, this whole thing should’ve been dismissed years ago.

But it wasn’t.

It’s dragged on for 8 long brutal years.

And that’s intentional.

Because when it comes to government investigation and litigation and persecution, the process is the punishment. 

But if you read Ferguson’s press releases and public statements, he really doesn’t talk that much about campaign reports. 

His overarching accusation is that I “personally profited from politics.”

I decided to learn how much Democrat AG Bob Ferguson has personally profited from politics. It’s a lot:

That $2.8 million in profits that went to Ferguson came from the taxpayers. Millions of taxpayers who didn’t support him were nonetheless forced to give him their money.  

The financial support I receive from friends and supporters is provided to me and my family to help us survive. In some instances, their help is provided to us without me asking — in other instances, their help is provided in response to me asking/begging/pleading for their assistance.

In all cases, the help is given voluntarily.

Checks are made payable to “Tim Eyman Legal Defense Fund” or “Tim Eyman” or “Tim Eyman & Family.” The checks aren’t political donations because they aren’t made payable to a political campaign and they’re never used for a political campaign — we spend them on lawyers and other costs. 

Nonetheless, the AG claims these are political donations even though they aren’t given to a political campaign and even though they’re never spent on a political campaign.

He’s twisted the law into a pretzel to try to get at me.  

When the trial started on November 12, the government and the lawyers had taken almost all the money I have.

AG Ferguson? That $2.8 million he got from taxpayers is pure profit.

I really need your help — the massive costs resulting from the AG’s lawsuit are overwhelming. If they take me out, who will dare challenge them? I am so incredibly grateful for your prayers and support during this very difficult time for me and my family.
