Inslee Is More Dangerous Than COVID. There Must Be Safety, Liberty, & Strong Economy AT ALL TIMES.

Join me/us at a fantastic political picnic in Kenmore tomorrow, Tues, July 21, 5:30-8pm (19235 73rd Ave, Kenmore — this is the home of Paul Hess, 46th District GOP chair, he calls it the “Hess Hacienda”). It’s sponsored by Eastside Republican Club. Go here to sign up:

For 8 years, I had plenty of disagreements with Chris Gregoire — but people could choke down her stuff because she was sorta of a normal Democrat.

For 8 years, I had plenty of run-ins with Gary Locke — but citizens could tolerate his stuff because he was sort of a normal Democrat.

Inslee? I can’t even call him a Democrat. He’s not a representative.

AT ALL TIMES, we must keep our system of government which includes checks and balances. Right now, it’s one person deciding everything — a ruler, not a representative.

Did you know one of the first things he did was stop transparency laws?

The Public Records Act — its’ suspension means the people and the press must take the government at its’ word because we’re cut off from verifying the information we’re being fed.

The Open Public Meetings Act — its’ elimination means state and local governments keep on churning out restrictions and the citizens are left watching it all happen on ZOOM.

Inslee has established his own First Amendment Exemption (short video):

So his proclamations — which are destroying people’s lives — don’t apply to him.

Inslee created the Snitch List which tears the social fabric of society by pitting citizens against one another: neighbor against neighbor, customer against business owner, family member against family member.

With its’ massive fines and 90 days in jail penalties, Inslee’s Mask Mandate is also pitting people against one another and forces law enforcement and business owners into brutally difficult, awkward, tense situations.

Our state and federal Constitutions require the government to treat all its citizens equally regardless of their race, sex, color, ethnicity, and national origin. These 5 attributes of every individual are specifically listed in the 1964 Civil Rights Act. In 1998, voters in Washington state overwhelmingly passed the initiative I sponsored — the Washington State Civil Rights Initiative — that prohibited the government from granting preferential treatment to someone based on those 5. Voters reaffirmed their support for this policy/principle/process again in 2019. Yet when it comes to allowing kids to go back to school in the fall, Inslee proposes to give preferential treatment to certain kids based on their race, sex, color, ethnicity, and national origin.

At a time when racial tensions are high, Inslee proposes throwing gasoline on the fire with this illegal, unconstitutional, and unjust approach. He is emboldened to do such things because the normal checks and balances we count on are on hold.

How long are they on hold? For as long as he says.

So we are under his direction, his control, his rule until he chooses otherwise.

Do you know why he won’t call a special session of the Legislature? Because he doesn’t want people to be reminded that there are other branches of government.

All of us wake up each day and wonder how to function that day without running afoul of Inslee’s latest dictate. We wonder how to avoid a fight that day with other people. We periodically learn new things about what’s allowed and what’s not — who got in trouble and who avoided persecution.

It’s nothing but a guessing game.

Inslee is more dangerous than COVID. What Inslee is doing to our state is dangerous. What he’s doing to our system of government is dangerous. What Inslee is doing to the citizenry is dangerous.

Born and raised Yakima, WAZZU grad, 14 year small business owner, 22 years political activist, my values are in direct conflict with this massive expansion of Inslee’s executive power.

Every day, I watch him.

And without exception, he shows himself to be a perfect combination of arrogance and ignorance.

Tim Eyman for Governor Washington State

As the ripple effects of Inslee’s one-man government become more pronounced and reverberate through the primary and general election, I take comfort in this and invite you to gain comfort from it as well:

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you …
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

“If–” by Rudyard Kipling
