Join Me In Testifying Against The Democrats-Take-Away-The-People’s-Right-To-Vote Bill (SB 5182).

by | Jan 19, 2021

Please help save the people’s right to vote from this Democrat attack.

Join me in testifying against the Democrats-take-away-the-people’s-right-to-vote bill (Senate Bill 5182). You can provide official written testimony RIGHT NOW (which is good) and/or official verbal testimony (which is best). The public hearing on ZOOM is tomorrow, Wed, Jan 20, 8am-10am.

Yes, this is NOT as effective as in-person testimony. But we must avail ourselves of this option even though it sucks in comparison.

Here’s how to sign up to testify:

STEP 1: Click here:

STEP 2: For COMMITTEE, click on pull down menu and choose bottom option: State Government & Elections.

STEP 3: For MEETING, click on pull down menu and choose 1/20/2021 8:00am hearing.

Later today you’ll get emailed the details on testifying by ZOOM. If you have problems, let me know, I’ll help.

Simple? No, it’s not!

Don’t let ’em get away with that.

Don’t give them the excuse “Nobody testified against SB 5182 so that means the people support our effort to take away the right to vote.”

There’s no decision that government makes that has a greater impact on our lives than when they take more of our money.

Voters voted 6 times for the 2/3-legislative-vote-for-tax-increases-requirement.  But that protection was taken away from us.

Before that, voters demanded voter approval for tax increases.  That protection was also taken away from us.

And our vote for $30 Tabs was also taken away from us.

But when voters passed Initiative 960 in 2007 (and reaffirmed its’ protections in 2010 & 2012), the people required this:  When Olympia raises taxes and blocks the people from voting on it by saying it’s “an emergency,” then the people have a guaranteed right to vote on that tax increase.

November voters’ pamphlets are a perfect venue to notify voters that their taxes were raised, how much they’ll cost, how legislators voted, and give voters the chance to register their support or opposition to it.

These voter-mandated tax advisory votes have generated tremendous voter participation.  There have been 72,338,362 votes cast in 8 elections on 35 tax advisory votes.  Those 72 million votes were made by active, engaged voters who wanted their voices heard.  In many elections, more voters voted on tax advisory votes than on the races for Lieutenant Governor, Insurance Commissioner, Superintendent of Public Instruction, and Supreme Court.

And voters were discerning — out of 35 tax increases that OFM confirms cost taxpayers $52.1 billion, voters expressed their opposition to 25 of them and supported 10.

Here’s the history on them:

Remember, it is the voters’ pamphlet, not the politicians’ pamphlet.

Legislators sponsoring the bill say voting costs too much.  Seattle Times’ columnist Bruce Ramsey wrote:  “In a budget of $17 billion a year, $130,000 is a mosquito’s sneeze.  It works out to 3 cents for each citizen who voted and it reaches every voter in the state … To argue that eliminating this expenditure is about protecting taxpayers is baldly disingenuous.”

They say “why let people vote if we’re just going to ignore their votes anyway.”  Wow.  Just wow.  Expressing our opinions and being ignored is frustrating.  Worse though is being muzzled and censored and disenfranchised.

But let’s get real, this is what they’re really saying: “Voters are too stupid to understand this stuff so why let ’em tell us what their opinion is?”

I ask everyone to officially testify against this horrible, condescending bill. Provide official written testimony RIGHT NOW and/or official verbal testimony by ZOOM tomorrow morning.

If you have problems, let me know, I’ll help.

Is it any wonder the AG is pushing for a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

I really need your help to survive AG Bob Ferguson’s investigation / litigation / persecution of me and my family. The only reason we’re still here is thanks to the heartfelt prayers and generous support from friends like you. Please donate to my legal defense fund here:

In addition, we worked really hard on our $30 Tabs Initiative.

We got I-976 qualified, passed, and upheld by that King County judge. Karen and I sacrificed a lot — we sold off our retirement fund to kickstart its signature drive:

We’re asking folks to donate to our PAC so we can get paid back and they’ll also be used to stop Inslee’s Income Tax and Carbon Tax Schemes. Please help:
