Tim is 48 today
As many of you know, my family has a tradition of adoption. My father who raised me was adopted. I was adopted. My three kids are adopted. My dad joked that our family’s “gift to society” was never letting our gene pool continue past a single generation. I guess I got my oddball sense of humor from him.
48 years ago today, I was born and adopted into a wonderful, loving family. I was raised in Yakima, got a business degree from WAZZU, moved to the Puget Sound, and now live in Mukilteo. I’ve been married for 20 years and we’re raising 3 kids who are now 15, 13, and 5.
On days like today, how can I not be happy and grateful and appreciative?
As for politics, I couldn’t be more fortunate. Initiative co-sponsors Jack & Mike Fagan are fearless. Our thousands of supporters are heroic. Working together each year, we fight really hard to protect taxpayers. We provide our reform proposals for the citizens to consider. We spur vigorous debates. We give the voters more choices. We let the voters decide. We don’t win every battle. But we are proud of what we’ve accomplished so far. And we’re ready for more.
I’m 48 years old today.
I’m an optimist — there’s so much more to be happy about than sad about. Let’s focus on the positive as we enter 2014.
