Today, 12 NOON, Seattle City Hall: Opposing Socialist Sawant’s Job-Killing Jobs Tax

by | Jul 6, 2020

Today, Monday, July 6th, 12 NOON, Seattle City Hall (600 4th Ave). I strongly oppose Socialist Sawant’s Job-Killing Jobs Tax. 12 NOON press conference outside the city council’s chambers, Sawant’s “community meeting” @ 1pm, I will testify against Socialist Sawant’s Job-Killing Jobs Tax at 2pm council meeting. Referendum?

At a time when Jay Inslee has suspended the Open Public Meetings Act and the Public Records Act, the Governor made sure that his proclamations exempted Kshama Sawant. He wants her legislating and other governments legislating. She’s inviting her troops to be there to help her push her job-killing jobs tax:

I adamantly oppose Socialist Sawant’s Job-Killing Jobs Tax. It will only extend the economic calamity that Inslee’s Lockdown has already inflicted on struggling working families. It will only hurt the people Sawant claims she wants to help.

I spoke out forcefully against the last version and was relieved when it was defeated:

It’s not a fluke that they’ve scheduled this critical vote in the middle of the day when normal people are at work. I’ll be there to speak for regular taxpayers who, like me, oppose Socialist Sawant’s Job-Killing Jobs Tax.

It will be your donations RIGHT NOW that will determine if Inslee gets 4 more years or not. I ask you to please:

  • Please send in your most generous donation to support my campaign for Governor As I’ve proven to you already, I will put every ounce of energy I have fighting for you. And your contributions are the fuel that keeps this campaign in overdrive.
  • Reach out to people you know who can’t stand the idea of 4 more years of Jay Inslee. Ask them to kick in $30 (or more). You are my ambassadors, you are my emissaries. We’re building an extraordinary team and we need everyone’s help to make sure this campaign a success.
  • Follow my campaign on Facebook here.

I make you this promise: support me in this effort and I’ll give you a race for Governor like you’ve never seen before.

I love you all.
