Unanimous endorsement of $30 Tab Initiative by State GOP Executive Board & Full State Committee last weekend is a big boost to our campaign — it’s fan-frickin-tastic!

This past weekend in Bellevue, the county chairs and state committee members from all over the state met in Bellevue for the State GOP’s latest quarterly meeting

It was a unanimous vote. That’s such a great feeling to have such across-the-board support for bringing back our $30 tabs with Initiative 976. This gives our campaign a big boost, especially since so many county GOP organizations have fair booths that will be now be able to collect signatures for our initiative thanks to this strong endorsement.

Let me tell you, it’s really helpful having so many grassroots activists all over the state eager and enthusiastic to help us get our initiative qualified.

But the support of the State GOP is no guarantee we’re gonna make it.

Frankly, since July 6 when we announced we had reached 202,172 signatures in 3 months, things have slowed down. A lot. That is a cause of concern. We have a little over 4 months left to get another 100,000+ signatures by the December 31 deadline. So there’s time for us to get this over the finish line. But that requires all of us to pick up the pace. We can’t let this last opportunity to bring back our $30 tabs pass us by.

Last year, I was johnny-one-note, emphasizing only the positive. Since we didn’t make it last year, I promised everyone that I wasn’t going to make that mistake again this year.

We need your help.

We need everyone’s help.

We need more donations to pay for continuing paid petitioning and for mailings to supporters. We need more people contacting me asking for petitions by email and by phone. And we need more people “out” collecting signatures.

The State GOP endorsed our first $30 Tabs Initiative in 1999 and our second one in 2002. They also supported our $30 tabs initiatives that tried and failed to qualify in 2006, 2016, and 2017. I am deeply grateful for their consistent support and commitment to bringing back $30 tabs for every taxpayer in Washington.
