What an honor: $30 Tabs petition featured on Uncle Sam sign. Too cool.

by | Nov 20, 2017

For 50 years, conservative reader-board messages have been appearing on the Uncle Sam sign near Chehalis (directly off I-5 in southwest Washington). Talk about a tremendous honor:

This is a really big deal. Here’s some pictures from the other side of I-5 (you can see it when you are southbound on I-5):

The sign is on the east side of I-5 and right next to it (also on the east side of I-5) is a business called the Trailer Station, 1393 Rush Rd, Chehalis where Jim and Al have our $30 Tabs petitions ready to sign. Within 30 minutes of the sign’s message going up, they had 5 signatures. They tell me it’s working great.

How did this happen? I got a call out of the blue from an anonymous individual who said that he does the messages on the Uncle Sam sign, admires our efforts over the years, and wanted to help us with our $30 Tabs Initiative.

For those interested in its’ origin and history, here’s a very recent Seattle Times story about the Uncle Sam Sign: http://tinyurl.com/unclesamstory

I am so honored to have my name up there. It’s really cool. I’m very grateful to the gentleman who called me up and who is giving such a big boost to the signature drive for the $30 Tabs Initiative.
We’re working super hard to Bring Back Our $30 Tabs and stick it to Sound Transit — here’s two ways you can help us:

1) ask for petitions and help collect signatures (collect 1000+ signatures and earn yourself an uber-orange $30 Tabs t-shirt).

2) donate (just think about how much you’ve saved over the years from our other two successful $30 Tabs Initiatives).

The December 29 deadline for signatures is fast approaching so we need all hands on deck.

DO WHAT THESE SUPPORTERS HAVE DONE: Get a bunch of petitions. Just hit “reply” to this email and let me know how many petitions you want, your address, and your phone number. I will find an Office Depot, Staples, Minuteman Press, or Kinko’s near you, order the petitions for you, and all you need to do is pick them up. You can get 3 petitions for less than a $1. You can get 10 petitions for less than $3. You can get 100 petitions for $30. They’re dirt cheap with super fast turnaround. You can pick up your petitions in an hour. It is a petition distribution revolution that more and more supporters across the state are taking advantage of.

Please contact me RIGHT NOW (tim_eyman@comcast.net, cell: 509-991-5295) — I’m ready to help.

The greatest threat to this signature drive is OVERCONFIDENCE. Having qualified 16 initiatives for a statewide public vote over the years, we’ve made it seem easy. It’s not. It’s really tough. The only way we’re gonna make it is with a massive grassroots effort where everyone across the state helps.
