Appeal deadline still looms (Thurs, July 15) — plz help — taxpayers have saved $29.7 billion from lower car tab taxes because of our efforts.

Mon, July 12, 2021

After our first voter-approved initiative that banned government-sponsored racist affirmative action, we could have quit.

But we didn’t.

After our first voter-approved initiative lowering car tab taxes, we could have quit.

But we didn’t.

After our first voter-approved initiative capping property tax increases, we could have quit.

But we didn’t.

After our second voter-approved initiative capping property tax increases, we could have quit.

But we didn’t.

After our second voter-approved initiative lowering car tabs, we could have quit.

But we didn’t.

Instead we stuck with our philosophy of:

And because of that, here’s how much the taxpayers have saved:

In 1999, people were paying — EVERY YEAR — car tab taxes of 2.5% on the artificially inflated value of their vehicles.

In 2016, UnSound Transit jacked ’em up another .8%.

Without our efforts, that would’ve put car tab taxes at 3.3%.

But thanks to our Herculean efforts over the years, vehicle owners in 36 out of 39 counties don’t pay that 3.3% — they just pay some weight fees.

And vehicle owners in the Puget Sound region are still getting ripped off — that’s absolutely true — but they’re paying AT MOST car tab taxes of 1.1%.

That’s 2/3 less than they would’ve been if we hadn’t fought so hard to lower them.

MY CAR TABS EXPIRED 21 MONTHS AGO — I REFUSE TO RENEW UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT RESPECTS OUR VOTE!

When AG Bob Ferguson sabotaged our Initiative 976, I was furious:

When Jay Inslee said “voters were confused” and refused to implement $30 Tabs, I got in his face too:

For 22 years, we’ve never quit, we’ve never stopped, we always kept moving forward.

We have to treat my appeal of the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional rulings the same way.

We can’t quit.

We can’t stop.

We must keep moving forward.

Because if we don’t, then Ferguson wins:

My notice of appeal must be filed no later than this Thurs, July 15th or else the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional rulings stand FOREVER.

This is a legal and political precedent that cannot be allowed to stand.

This insanity MUST BE appealed.

Don’t let the guy who sabotaged our $30 Tabs get away with this:

Please … I implore you … donate today:

As you know, we worked really hard on Initiative 976 — here’s when we turned in 350,000 voter signatures to qualify it for the ballot:

Here we are on election night:

Karen and I sacrificed a lot — we sold off our retirement fund to kick-start its signature drive:

And now, a message from Sid Maietto and Larry Jensen:

We’re asking folks to donate to our PAC so Tim can get paid back (and live and survive) and to help stop Inslee’s Income Tax and Carbon Tax Schemes with the initiatives we’re co-sponsoring with Tim.

The taxpayers of Washington need our help now more than ever. Donate to our political committee so we can keep fighting for you:

Mail your check — made payable to “Permanent Offense” — to: Permanent Offense, PO Box 6151, Olympia, WA, 98507
