Microsoft CEO sells off half his stock to avoid capital gains tax.
“If it wasn’t for double-standards, Democrats wouldn’t have any standards.”
It’s an old joke — and it’s funny — because it’s true.

The Democrats always accuse us of what they’re guilty of.
The Attorney General goes after me because I asked for and received help from friends and family to pay my attorneys and survive his 9-year political jihad, claiming that I “profited” from their help.
I’ve been drained dry — everything I’ve ever earned in my lifetime is gone. And now Ferguson is trying to force the sale of our home so Karen and our kids have no place to live.
And the AG?
Bill Gates Sr. pushed an initiative in 2010 to impose a state income tax. What did he do professionally? He helped his liberal friends avoid paying such taxes.
And now, this week, the Seattle Times reported:
MICROSOFT CEO SELLS HALF HIS SHARES IN THE COMPANY
Why?
To lower his “exposure to a looming capital gains tax in Washington state … to minimize his liability under Washington’s new 7% capital gains tax, which goes into effect Jan. 1 … ‘it’s worth pointing out that the timing, coming about 6 weeks before the implementation of that tax is curious.'”
Jim Walsh is the sponsor of Initiative 1408 (which prohibits ALL taxes based on personal income) and here’s what he had to say about that:
“I want successful business leaders to stay, not flee, our state. I want business leaders making decisions that are based on how to grow jobs in our state, not other states.
“Microsoft’s CEO selling off half his shares to avoid Washington’s new capital gains income tax is the canary in the coal mine. Thousands of successful business leaders are currently deciding not whether to leave Washington but just picking which state they want to move their companies and their jobs to.
“Income-based taxes in Washington state have been repudiated by voters 10 times. A lot of great people are working really hard to give voters another opportunity to vote them down again.
“For every dollar the state gets from these job-killing taxes, they lose $10 by forcing successful businesses to grow and expand their operations to other states that welcome them – and their jobs, revenue, and philanthropy — with open arms.
“We MUST and we WILL give the voters the chance to kill off income-based taxes so that business leaders will flock to Washington rather than flee from it.”

Jim is exactly right.
We’re very proud to be helping Jim with this worthy effort.
By working together, we’ve had an amazing track record of success over the past 22 years:
Now more than ever, I really need your help.
While I’m fighting to help our state and our nation by continuing to work on initiatives (pushing Jim’s initiative to repeal the capital gains tax and working on 7 Election Integrity Initiatives in 7 key swing states) and suing the Governor for his abuse of power (Eyman v Inslee), I ask you to please help me fight back against Fascist Fergie.
Please support this critical effort to appeal these ridiculously unconstitutional restrictions on the First Amendment and protect others from this kind of political persecution:

Don’t let the guy who sabotaged our $30 Tabs get away with this:
As you know, we worked really hard on Initiative 976:
Karen and I sacrificed a lot — we sold off our retirement fund to kick-start its signature drive:
And now, a message from Sid Maietto and Larry Jensen:
We’re asking folks to donate to our PAC so we can stop all current and future income-based taxes with Jim Walsh’s Initiative 1408:
The taxpayers of Washington need our help now more than ever. Donate to our political committee so we can keep fighting for you:
