QUIET VICTORY: We destroyed the Income Tax in 2010 before anyone on our side was even paying attention. Our early court challenge to the AG’s ballot title for Initiative 1098 was THE linchpin to defeating it.
Friday, September 9, 2022
2010 was the year that proponents of an income tax learned that being truthful with the voters ensures their defeat.
In 2021, Inslee and the Democrats lied to the voters that their capital gains income tax really wasn’t an income tax.
Why did they lie?
Because in 2010, they learned that telling the voters the truth about their desire for an income tax dooms it.
That year, Bill Gates Sr. and other rich liberals wanted an income tax.
So they designed an initiative to create a new income tax.
And the AG quietly assigned a ballot title for the initiative that never told the voters that it imposed an income tax.
The ballot title read: “Initiative Measure No. 1098 concerns taxation.”
Superstar attorney Stephen Pidgeon and I teamed up to challenge that vague description and asked the court to change it and tell the voters the truth: that the initiative concerns “imposing a state income tax.”

The judge agreed to change it to “Initiative Measure No. 1098 concerns establishing a state income tax.”
At that point, the campaign was over.
Put a fork in it, it was done.
The voters were gonna overwhelmingly reject it.
Bill Gates Sr. launched the signature drive for their initiative at a Seattle coffee shop.

I was there to speak out against it.
There was a huge campaign for and against the initiative.
But we won this battle on May 18, 2010 when the judge decided to tell the voters the truth about the initiative.
So when voters across our state looked at their November ballots and read the ballot title, they voted exactly as you’d expect:

That same night, our 2/3-vote-to-raise-taxes
My election night speech touched on both measures:
That crushing victory happened because of our early court challenge to the AG’s ballot title.
And that linchpin victory took place before anyone on our side was even paying attention.
Is it any wonder Bob Ferguson is pushing so hard for a lifetime ban on all my future political activity?

I’m urging you — while I’m fighting to help our state and our nation — to please donate to my legal defense fund so I can appeal the AG’s ridiculously unconstitutional restrictions and make sure what he’s doing to me and my family never happens to anyone else ever again.

You probably heard about the Canadian trucker protest — GoFundMe cancelled their accounts when the government complained.
Fortunately, the well-respected Christian crowdfunding site GiveSendGo stepped up and helped out.

Besides being a Christian organization that only receives fees through voluntary donations, what’s especially impressive about GiveSendGo is they don’t to succumb to intimidation or censorship.
I’m so grateful to the supporters who suggested GiveSendGo and for setting up a crowdfunding page there for my legal defense fund.

For years, I had a GoFundMe account for my legal defense fund.
But just before trial, they cancelled it without explanation.
It’s not difficult to guess why:

After 10 years of investigation, litigation, and persecution, the only reason I’m still here and I’m still fighting is because of the heartfelt prayers, love, and support from friends and family members who recognize this abuse of power and are willing to help me fight back against it.
This 10 year ordeal has cost me every dollar I’ve ever earned in my lifetime.

It has cost me my home.

And the AG is bragging about it.
But thanks to you, we are appealing this because it’s a legal precedent that cannot be allowed to stand.
Because if he gets away with it with me, he’ll target others.
And I cannot and will not let that happen.

I urge you to please donate to my legal defense fund today (and to share and forward this update far & wide).

Despite all the roadblocks thrown in our way, I’m still fighting for our state and our nation.

I’m urging everyone to support this David versus Goliath effort.
