We will be voting on Inslee’s Income Tax in November even though they blocked a referendum — this is EXACTLY why we created tax advisory votes.

Thurs, July 29, 2021

I received notification yesterday that appearing on this November’s ballot will be Inslee’s Income Tax.

It’ll be the first thing everyone votes on (even before all the local races).

The Democrats slapped an emergency clause onto their tax bill (ESSB 5096) in order to make Inslee’s Income Tax “referendum proof.”

They didn’t want the voters to have the chance to vote on it.

Fortunately for the taxpayers, voters in 2007 overwhelmingly passed our initiative (I-960) which, among other policies, created a law which requires that any new tax blocked from a referendum by an emergency clause appear on the following November’s ballot. That law protects our right to vote even when the referendum power guaranteed by our state Constitution is taken away from us by dirty dog politicians in Olympia.

So, Tax Advisory Vote #37 will be on this November’s ballot and here’s how it’ll look:

In the voters pamphlet, it’ll show that short description and then it will provide the 10 year cost projection for this new income tax:

That’s right: $5.7 BILLION!

And that’s only the start.

Everyone knows that once this Pandora’s Box is opened, this tax on some of us will quickly be imposed on all of us.

Also in the voters pamphlet, it will list every legislator and how they voted on this massive new income tax (the Democrats voted yes, all the Republicans voted no). And it’ll include their names, party affiliation, city they live at, and their phone numbers and email addresses.

And the voters will vote on it.

Democrats did everything they could to block that vote.

But by passing our initiative in 2007 (and voters reaffirmed their support for this policy by passing our follow-up initiatives in 2010, 2012, and 2015), we get to vote on Inslee’s Income Tax this November.

Many of us are working really hard to eliminate this new income tax with an initiative that repeals it (and prohibits any future one) but the soonest we can bring that to a vote is November 2022.

But in the meantime, at least the voters will get to vote on Inslee’s Income Tax with Tax Advisory Vote #37.

I have no doubt the voters will overwhelmingly reject it.

All our victories over the past 2 decades are why Fascist Fergie is working so hard to impose a lifetime ban on all my future political activity:

This Sunday is the Pierce County GOP picnic — it’s at the Puyallup Elks Field and goes from 3-7pm.

And before it starts, from 2:30-3pm, they’re hosting a fundraiser for my legal defense fund. I hope you can join me/us there so I can thank you in person for all your help and support over the years. Details below:

I hope to see you there.

For 8 1/2 years, the government has been investigating, litigating, and persecuting me, my family, and my friends.

Bob Ferguson spent more going after me than all other cases over the past 8 years COMBINED!

But I’m still here and I’m still fighting.

And that’s only because of the prayers and support of thousands of wonderful people who oppose this blatant abuse of power by the AG.

Please help me reverse this gross injustice by donating to my legal defense fund TODAY:

Don’t let the guy who robbed us of our $30 Tabs get away with this.

As you know, we worked really hard on Initiative 976 — here’s when we turned in 350,000 voter signatures to qualify it for the ballot:

And here’s election night:

Karen and I sacrificed a lot — we sold off our retirement fund to kick-start its signature drive:

And now, a message from Sid Maietto and Larry Jensen:

We’re asking folks to donate to our PAC so Tim can get paid back (and live and survive) and to help stop Inslee’s Income Tax and Carbon Tax Schemes with the initiatives we’re co-sponsoring with Tim.

The taxpayers of Washington need our help now more than ever. Donate to our political committee so we can keep fighting for you:
